Does USCIS require a certified translation?
Yes — 8 CFR § 103.2(b)(3) requires that any document submitted in a language other than English be accompanied by a full English translation certified as complete and accurate by the translator. A certificate of accuracy from the translator is the standard form of certification USCIS accepts.
Do you provide notarized translations?
Yes. By default, a certified translation includes a signed certificate of accuracy from the translator — that's what USCIS, most courts, and most universities require. If a specific receiving authority (some consulates, certain state filings, or international apostille work) requires notarization, our translator's signature can be notarized by a licensed Arizona notary for an additional fee.
How fast can you turn around an immigration packet?
Standard turnaround on a typical I-130 family-based packet (8–12 documents) is 5 business days. Single-document requests under 3 pages are typically delivered in 48–72 hours. Same-day rush turnaround is available on most language pairs with a 25% rush fee.
What languages do you handle in-house?
English, German, French, Russian, and Dutch are handled by in-house ATA-credentialed linguists. Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Tagalog, Korean, Vietnamese, and 20+ additional languages are handled through our credentialed extended translator network — every linguist is vetted, ATA-aligned, and signs a per-engagement confidentiality agreement.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Pricing depends on language pair, document complexity, and word count. Standard certificates and birth/marriage records range from $25–$45 per document. Academic transcripts typically range from $0.18–$0.25 per word. Multi-document immigration packets receive a 10–15% volume discount. Request a quote for an exact estimate.
What if USCIS issues an RFE about the translation?
We respond same-day. The lead translator who completed your original document will respond directly to any USCIS Request for Evidence (RFE) related to the translation, at no additional cost. If the RFE asks for re-certification under updated language, we issue a revised certificate within 24 hours.
