JB Linguistics
Corporate language training

Corporate language training that ties to KPIs, not seat hours.

Generic corporate language training tracks attendance. JB Linguistics ties training to the business outcomes you're already measuring: customer-call quality scores, RFP win rates, demo-to-close conversion, expat assignment readiness. We design every cohort around your actual KPIs.

Programs that fit boardrooms, not classrooms.

Sales & revenue teams

Customer-facing teams that lose deals at the language line — RFP responses returned for rewriting, demos that translate poorly, customer success calls that escalate from confusion. We design language programs around your funnel.

Global ops & supply chain

Procurement, vendor management, logistics, and quality teams that work across timezones in English-as-business-language environments. Programs focus on contract negotiation, supplier escalation, and technical specification clarity.

Diplomatic missions & NGOs

Mission-critical English coaching for diplomats, attachés, NGO program leads, and field workers. Cultural advisory included for negotiation, joint task force coordination, and press engagement.

Executive coaching

1:1 coaching for C-suite executives, senior VPs, and Board-track leaders. Confidential, white-glove, scheduled around real calendars. Focus on board presentations, investor updates, town halls, and earnings calls.

Customer success & support

Customer-facing teams in healthcare, fintech, SaaS, and logistics where one mis-handled conversation costs an account. Language work tied to QA scores, NPS, and escalation rates.

Technical & engineering teams

Software engineers, scientists, and technical PMs working in distributed-by-default environments. Focus on async written communication, technical documentation, and high-stakes spoken English (incident reviews, design reviews, customer escalations).

Every program is built from your goals backward.

KPI-anchored design

We start with the business KPIs your team is measured on (NPS, win rate, time-to-close, CSAT, escalation rate, audit pass rate). The language curriculum is reverse-engineered from those metrics. Progress reports tie language gains to KPI movement.

Live cohort + async lab format

Two live small-group sessions per week (3–6 learners per cohort) plus an async lab with role-play scenarios, recorded model dialogues, peer discussion prompts, and progress quizzes. Learners get ~5 hours of guided practice per week.

Dedicated cohort manager

Every cohort gets a single dedicated cohort manager who's your point of contact — schedule changes, attendance issues, progress reporting, escalations. You don't get triaged into a customer-service queue.

LMS-ready micro-lessons

All materials (slides, recordings, quizzes, glossaries) are delivered in formats that drop directly into your internal LMS (SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI). You own the materials forever — no per-seat licensing, no expiring access.

Cultural advisory included

Beyond language, our coaches advise on cultural patterns in meetings, negotiations, and feedback styles. For teams expanding into German, French, Dutch, or Russian markets, this is often the difference between a deal closing and a deal stalling.

Five languages in-house

English, German, French, Russian, and Dutch handled by in-house instructors. Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Japanese, and 15+ additional languages handled through our credentialed instructor network with the same cohort-manager structure and KPI integration.

Why heads of L&D keep us on the bench.

01

Outcomes you can show the CFO

Each cohort closes with a written outcomes report tying language gains to the KPIs we anchored at the start. That's the document that funds the next cohort and justifies the program to finance.

02

No per-seat license fees

Unlike Berlitz, Rosetta Stone Enterprise, or Goodway/EF, we don't license seats. You pay for the cohort. Materials, recordings, and follow-up support are included for the cohort's lifetime.

03

Real instructors, not chatbots

Every live session is taught by a credentialed human instructor with subject-matter expertise in your industry. No AI tutoring chains. No outsourced contract instructors with no industry context.

04

Calendar that fits your timezone

Cohorts run in your team's primary timezone. If you have a distributed team across 3 timezones, we run two parallel cohorts at compatible times — same curriculum, same cohort manager, separate live sessions.

05

Confidentiality at the level your CISO wants

Every instructor signs a per-engagement NDA. Materials, recordings, and KPI data are stored under strict access controls. SOC 2-aligned data handling on request for regulated industries.

06

Pricing that scales linearly, not exponentially

Per-cohort pricing scales 1:1 with cohort size — adding 3 more learners costs 3 more learners' worth, not a tier upgrade. Multi-cohort engagements (3+ cohorts in a 12-month window) receive a 12–20% volume discount.

Common questions

How small can a cohort be?

Minimum cohort size is 3 learners — that's the smallest size where peer practice and role-play scenarios work effectively. 1:1 executive coaching is a separate product line. Maximum cohort size is 6 — beyond that, live speaking practice per learner drops below the threshold for meaningful fluency progress.

How long is a typical corporate cohort?

Standard cohort duration is 12 weeks of weekly live sessions (24 live sessions total) plus async lab work, mock assessments, and an outcomes report. Sprint cohorts (8 weeks, 16 live sessions) are available when there's a fixed deadline (an expat assignment, a regulator audit, a product launch). Maintenance cohorts (24 weeks at 1 live session per week) are available for teams that want sustained skill consolidation.

Can you handle multiple languages for one company?

Yes — we frequently run parallel cohorts in different language pairs for the same company (e.g., German for the Munich office, French for the Paris office, Mandarin for the Shanghai office). Each cohort gets its own cohort manager but consolidated executive-summary reporting comes through a single account manager.

Do you integrate with our LMS?

Yes. All learning materials (slides, recordings, quizzes, glossaries) are delivered in SCORM 1.2/2004 and xAPI formats that drop directly into Workday Learning, Cornerstone OnDemand, SAP SuccessFactors, Docebo, Sumtotal, and most major LMS platforms. We don't replace your LMS — we feed it.

How is corporate language training priced?

Per-cohort pricing typically ranges from $14,000–$28,000 for a 12-week, 6-person cohort, depending on language pair, instructor seniority, and the depth of KPI integration and custom material development required. Multi-cohort engagements receive a 12–20% volume discount. Request a quote for a fixed bid against your specific scope.

What if a learner is reassigned mid-cohort?

We allow one mid-cohort substitution at no additional cost — your replacement learner picks up at the current week, with a private make-up session covering the prior weeks. Beyond one substitution, replacements are billed at the per-learner pro-rata for the prior weeks.
